How it all began
My creative life began when i was 8 years of age.
That very day i said to my mother :
Mom, i’d like to be able to draw.
To which she replied :
“Well, my son, draw!”
That was probably the greatest piece of advice she
ever gave me.
And boy did i draw …
From the tender age of 8 up to my young adult life,
I probably drew around 6 hours a day. Non stop.
Here’s a list of some of the things i put on paper during those years :
- Every drawings in every booklets of every nes games i owned.
- Each and every Iron Maiden cover art.
- Way too many X-Mens
- Spawn in all his Greg Capullo’s goodness
- Jesus smoking a joint
- Chris O’Donnell’s Robin
Oh and i was also very good at mathematics.
So in my very young and naive little Franky head.
Drawing + Maths = Architecture.
I’ve lost 3 years of my life in college because of that.
I dropped architecture 1 week before it even started.
Then roamed the streets in search of a job, and an identity.
(i was actually living with my parents, no worries)
Enlightenment came in Industrial Design form.
Which i studied for 3 years in college.
That is also where i learned the basics of Photoshop :
mostly the magic wand, and “create new layer”.
I now have 5 years of experience under my belt.
Now working fulltime with the creative minds at Precicad.
And through the magic of self teaching, i also do graphic design, websites, logos, and all things digital.
You can see a bunch of cool things i designed in my portfolio.
Oh and i also train very hard to be a ninja.
I still haven’t figured out how to use a Wacom.
And i speak french daily.
